I feel sorry for the horse, who is likely to be blamed and abused for hurting the child. That's a very small child and a very big horse and the adult should have taken care that he wasn't harmed. In the civilized world, horses with especially gentle temperaments are generally used for kids or tards, and the kid is lifted onto the horse by the adult. The adult should learn horse body language and ensure no one gets in the kick zone, especially when the horse is perturbed.
