A murder investigation is under way after a man was shot dead in Lewisham in south-east London. The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to Catford Broadway at about 04:30 GMT on Sunday along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
A man believed to be in his thirties was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The force said no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.
In a statement, the Met said it is "in the process" of informing the man's next of kin of his death. Enquiries by investigators are ongoing and the force said "a significant cordon remains in place at the scene".
