The end scene of dont look now, it was on the TV late one night and I was a child, home alone and thought id be cocky and watch a horror movie alone. Brilliant film but yeah I proper shat my pants and I still find this movie incredible

When I first saw Jaws, I was 8-years old. 40-years later, I'm more cynical, jaded, and damaged. This means less things bother me now. But that first fear from watching Jaws.... that's always going to be there, deep down, where rational thought and logic can't dig it out.
The original Omen starring Gregory Peck. The scene with the pickup carrying glass frames. One shoots out from the force of an accident and guillotines a guy's head off. The director shot it in multiple frames and in slow motion so it sears itself into your brain. Probably one of the most disturbing sequences in cinematography history...

I was 11 when The Ring came out which is PG13 btw and this video kept me up all night for weeks I had to sleep on the floor in my moms room. That lady brushing her hair and the other disturbing shots. Also when that girl Sam crawls out the well.

I know it's just a silly kaiju movie from Japan, but as a child, watching Godzilla mourn his son's death and finally melting away after his fight with Destroyah. That somber tone, it hit pretty hard.
The sadness really good horror film if you dont mind subtitles

Yep, this is the one I remember first/most vividly
I don't remember what the movie was called but some historical one I watched when I was small following the life of a guy who ends up working on a ship. At one point following attempted mutiny the captain orders a good percentage of the crew to be hanged and it showed each one, some having no reaction not wanting to show weakness, some screaming and crying and begging. Not gory but then again I didn't really watch horror as a child
