ya once a homeless person in my town asked me for money for foodDon't give them money. Give them a sandwich and watch their hearts drop.
I'd have taken them back and said, "Never mind!" Although, I wouldn't have given him anything to begin with. I never carry cash either.ya once a homeless person in my town asked me for money for food
i had just come out of a grocery store
i reached in my bag and handed him an apple and a box of granola bars
he said to my face "what am i supposed to do with this?"
I had homeless people refuse food several times. I stopped trying to help them years ago.ya once a homeless person in my town asked me for money for food

So your belief is that all homeless people are the same and since some didn't accept food then none of them will. How stereotypical of you.I had homeless people refuse food several times. I stopped trying to help them years ago.
Similar story...in a Mc Donald's in Sa on Francisco years ago and this homeless dude says can I give him money for food. Stupidly I hand him a few dollars. He looks at me, shuffles a little thsn leaves the queue and walks out of the joint. That was the last time I fell for the scam.ya once a homeless person in my town asked me for money for food

The thing is they can get 3 meals a day from shelters for nothing. They need cash not always necessarily for alcohol or drugs, but for bus fares, and all othe other stuff that the shelters don't hand out for free. I offer to take them to the convenience store to get what they need from time to time if they seem approachable & genuineI had homeless people refuse food several times.
