This increases your anxiety which is a defense mechanism in order to wake the body while asleep in order to make you less vulnerable to any harm. Since humans used to only sleep when it was dark out. Cats amygdala level stays at a decreased level and is unaffected by light or dark since they sleep during the day and night. Hence their high anxiety.
