If reincarnation is real, does the cycle start or end with people?

To clarify, I want to know if you think the cycle of your reincarnations end with you being a human and reaching enlightenment, or becoming something like a dung beatle and reaching enlightenment. The reason I ask this is because I have had many dreams that feel more like memories, and quite a few deja vu moments that left me stunned. I don't particularly believe in reincarnation, but I am genuinely curious if being human is the last stage of enlightenment, and if so, why do many people get the short end of the stick in life, such as those who are eaten by rats as babies, die of addiction or become deranged murderers. Do they get a reset? or have they simply failed in life and get doomed to never reaching enlightenment.
I honestly think ants for example are more enlightened than humans, since they do what they must without being concerned by stupid BS like what gender they think they are.
So yeah, what do you think? Does the cycle begin or end with humans? or am I completely misunderstanding the concept

All living things start out as squirrels. Then they become humans. Then ants. Then bees. Then llamas. This cycle repeats exactly 12 times. Then when the 12th reincarnated llama dies you are reincarnated as a chipmunk. Then a Bonobo. Then a termite. Then a wasp. Then a camel. Then this cycle repeats 12 times.

I can go on and on about the cycles that proceed after this but it bassically will follow similar patterns until you live as all the animals in existence (yes, including sea sponges, jelly fish, and tardigrades).

I just finished an Article in an old Smithsonian magazine about the Bonobo. "What would a Bonobo say?" I think was the title. Damn good read.

Sweet! I myself once published a scientific article about Bonobos, it's an extremely serious tale detailing their behavior in a domestic setting. By coincidence, a copy of this work is on this very website under the title The Noisy Attic (remember this is an extremely serious publication so prepare your brain for some high level academic Bonobo facts): https://goregrish.com/threads/the-noisy-attic.117148/

I'm not sure about any of it. I got visited by aliens when I was in my 20's though. Not sure what that means. I still wonder if it coulda been the bong at the time but it can't be proved nor disproved. There's definitely something weird and hard to understand about 'dimensions' and the possibility / theory that there are other parallel realities coexisting. I find it interesting how when really old people are seconds from death they start talking to supposed other people in the room and sound all sciency and wise, like as if they have been given the secret to life just before heading out of this one ... and go to 'wherever' it is we end up going.
The idea of reincarnation hits a snag when you consider the theory of us becoming spirits in a non physical realm. The spirit would need to incarnate a new body in physical form for the new phase, BUT, what about those old ghosts you hear about that lurk in old haunted castles and such? Why haven't those ones been plonked into a new body yet? or are they the forgotten ones?
I don't believe humans can come back as ants or dung beetles, while I can't prove or disprove any of it, just seems fucking stupid to cross species. It makes more sense that an elephant would just come back as an elephant etc. I'm not sure who adjudicates all that shit - (God maybe) but thinking about it always ends with me pondering the question of how full can Heaven actually get? if it keeps filling up with souls it's gonna become a cesspit eventually. It would be a mighty logistical nightmare to keep all that shit under control. Do people get to choose when to come back? or is it a strange point based system where those determined to have done better and lived a more honorable life get brought back into wealth and good fortune as reward? I dunno .. maybe Earth is just a smaller than microscopic speck in a drop of liquid somewhere inside a cave on some other much larger planet and when we look out into space it's just looking out into the drop of liquid that seems really big but only to us!
Why are we all here? why did you make me think about this? I'm feeling strangely compulsive now ... it's a coping thing.
I'm going back to bed to roll myself up in blankets and forget this ever happened.

Okay wise old owl, then why exactly are we on the 14th Dalai Lama, then?

i get deja-vu all the time dude. shit from dreams and it comes to fruition. weird shit that happens too. ive said this before in a dif thread some time back, but when i was at the lawyers office,i was looking out the window (on 2nd floor) and saw trees and tree tops. had the feeling like i was there before. like looooong time ago. and i saw the image of all trees. no buildings. because there are buildings there. but not in the image i saw it as. and i had thie strange feeling come over me. i cant explain it. and this was the first time i was ever in this lawyers office, let alone the building! but yet,i was already there, in a previous life maybe?

Its because all in life is random, some people are born rich and beautiful others poor and ugly and some animals come to existence just to be brutally eaten by predators. The only difference is that we humans due to our intellect cope with the idea than we somehow are special, that no matter our suffering in this life we will be rewarded in another life, but the true is that we all go back to the same state we were before we were born, nothingness. Garavito and the hundreds of kids he raped and killed went to the same place, there is no heaven or hell, no nirvana, just a grave were youll body will rot and if you are lucky some people will cry at your funeral and remember you years later.

Same, I travel sometimes and I have that immense feeling ive been here before when I know I havent, or I have a dream that plays out exactly the same in real life and I realise it the moment after it happens and im confused for a minute.
