Meet the new USA Secretary of Defence

For people who don't know who Hegseth is, here's some info from Wikipedia:

Peter Brian Hegseth (born June 6, 1980) is an American television presenter, author, and Army National Guard officer who is to be the nominee for United States Secretary of Defense in Donald Trump's second cabinet. A political commentator for Fox News, he was previously the executive director of Vets for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America.

Hegseth has been active in conservative and Republican politics since his days as an undergraduate at Princeton University. In 2016, he emerged as a strong supporter and ally of Donald Trump's presidential candidacy, and served as an occasional advisor to Trump throughout the latter's first term as president. He reportedly persuaded Trump to pardon three American soldiers accused or convicted of war crimes related to the shooting of non-combatants in Iraq. Hegseth, who was a platoon leader at Guantanamo Bay during his military service, defended the treatment of inmates detained there.

Hegseth was considered to lead the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in the first Trump administration, prior to the selection of David Shulkin in 2017. In November 2024, president-elect Trump announced that he intends to nominate Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.

Wikipedia is the most dishonest manipulative propaganda machine that exists on the internet. I trust it even less than CNN ! All they do is run hit pieces and spread lies. There's so much "Miss - and - Diss" information still up and never corrected - you should see some of the crazy Covid lies still up, and shit about Trump that's been debunked AGES ago but they leave it up. It's a bullshit site.

I'm just pointing out that the source material from (Wikipedia) is deliberately biased and heavily tailors its writing to speak unfavorably about anybody who may be Conservative or not of their political 'liking'. Wikipedia covertly benefits financially from "War Hawks" in Government so of course they hate people like Hegseth. I expect there will be (if not already) additional negative rhetoric added to his Wiki page daily to make him look undesirable. I wrote my comment because I despise Wikipedia and it's manipulative dishonest tactics to sway political discourse.

so....... what part of what I posted from Wikipedia is actually false?

That's the trick, if it's so full of misleading information it should be easy to bust. Seems they do a bit of research to get it right.
Seems to me that djdeeds is letting his conspiracy theories getting the better of him. It's one thing to say "they are full of shit!" and then not providing any evidence of the bullshit in the section of wikipedia that I literally copied and posted here.

Y'know... it's almost as if the crazies....... are just a bit crazy.

The only use Wikipedia has is the "early life" section which is helpful for spotting Jews

:cgas:

Wikipedia does seem to be keen on reporting an individual's bloodline. So and so, born on dot, to x-mother and y-father, with English and Welsh on mother's side, and Black and Indian on the father's side...

It seems to be listed more-so for American celebrities, etc. But Americans are more hung-up on their past than the rest of the world.

Name one conspiracy theory you assert I believe in. My statement that Wikipedia actively manipulates the information on its pages to favor specific political stances is exactly what Wikipedia would label a "conspiracy theory" or "disinformation". They do a lot of lying by omission, or using words like - so and so was 'reported to have done ... or 'reported to have been' etc it wipes their hands of responsibility of spreading disinformation by claiming "Hey, it wasn't us that said it.. we're simply reporting it" then cites links to various (often dubious and corrupted so called news sources) I'm not gonna baby you mate , I have an opinion about Wiki being a manipulative tool used by corrupt organizations and so I made my comment.
Heck , Wiki themselves warn people against taking sources as 'wholly reliable'
You don't need to take it as a personal dig. People who happen to not lean to the extreme Left are not "conspiracy theorists by default" just because an opinion challenges a narrative. I'm not going to copy-paste 90% of Wikipedia just to bring you each and every example of nefarious bullshit posted on Wiki pages - you made it an argument when it didn't need to be one.
agree or don't agree ... Wikipedia themselves even say ... “The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is not truth,” states Wikipedia’s official policy on the subject.
you decided to make it personal and call me crazy because of an opinion I made based on my observations of how Wiki operates. Maybe chill out .

One of the things they do is lie by omission, This is a very good example of that... "He reportedly persuaded Trump to pardon three American soldiers accused or convicted of war crimes related to the shooting of non-combatants in Iraq."

Do you know the specifics of the incidents and the pardons? No. You do not. Do you have any inclination to investigate further into that? No on that as well.

The people who edit these articles exploit the ignorance and laziness of people who read them. They know that many are too lazy to investigate further and this is what they end up believing for lack of detail and corroborating facts... "Donald Trump and Peter Brian Hegseth support war criminals who kill unarmed civilians."

Wikipedia is shit for actual fact based information especially within the realm of US politics, but can be a good jump off point for further investigation.

When somebody posts an article from Wikipedia it just tells us they really don't know shit.

Well you took it as a personal dig.... and posted a proper angry rant.
Triggered much?
Welcome to Goregrish.

I find him a bit young (he's got 7 kids?), I don't know who he is and what military ranks and carrier he has and decorations he has, it would be important to know this
I saw Zelensky walking with a bald older white man in a suit who looked like a big animal who was discussing arms shipments with him in a US arms factory, I don't know his name but he also has something to do with the US military

Now I read his bio looks like he's a real soldier but I find his military rank too low I don't know how much experience this guy has with this.

Yeah, but, I look at it this way - does a piece of paper in a frame on the wall make a better Doctor, Lawyer or teacher? I've seen people who are completely void of "qualifications" literally kick ASS in this world. I've seen enough conviction from this man in congress and during hearings to absolutely be sure he will do a great job... medals or not !!! - Results matter, not ribbons on a shirt.

Ok I know there are military peeps in here... people who have been in service... I honestly want to know what 5 star general would take orderes from Diner Boy... ( fox job... interviewing yahoos in diners every two years around election time.)

I know why Trump picked him... cause he will listen to Trump. And Trump doesn’t know anything about defending the country militarily. This choice to me, shows Trump's disrespect for the military, way beyond thumbs up photo ops at Arlington Cemetery... or talking smack about wounded soldiers... and war heros because they ( look injured ) not the handsome central casting type.

The fact that Pete doesn't think women belong on the battle field is going to severally diminish our troops right as we have multiple wars festering all over the planet.

Really looking forward to the responses to these questions.
