I think that's what I wrote last time I saw video of burning hydrogen-filled balloons. I was once told that the US control so gets helium. I don't know much about it, but those definitely were not helium balloons.

I think the cost of Helium, due to a shortage of the gas, is prohibitive.

You can use it as a euphemism for "smells like a fart in here" with this... "smells like someone popped a balloon in China."
