movies I watched rear window last night

Made back in 54, only the second time I've seen it. Film is absolutely timeless, you haven't seen this classic its worth a watch.

Yes. Hitchcock was a master film maker. All his stuff has the same timelessness about it. It's as though he is seeing human archetypes to which everyone can relate to what ever the culture.

The Birds was one of my favourites.

Did you see the Liberation of Belsen? He did the voice over on it. It was a documentary made in 1945 or 46 I think, but buried away and not released. It's on Youtube. His laid back, calm commentary just adds to the horror of the obscene subject matter. Highly recommended.

Oh yes. The original one is fantastic. That was a huge indoor set built on a stage by the way. Grace Kelly is absolutely gorgeous and personally, I don't gravitate towards blonde and blue eyed gals. No offense ladies. The remake with Christopher Reeve was...okay, but I think that's only out of pity...

You will love it. The plot twists are awesome and the pain and suffering are so, well, soooothing…

Let me know if it’s as good as I think it is. Should be a classic but somehow it’s under the radar.
Just finished it....great movie! I'm surprised I have never seen it or even heard of it. That said, I wholeheartedly recommend it and agree with you that it should be a classic. Tough to find movies like that any more these days; too much cartoon crap or woke subject matter.

I know. It’s a sleeper that is perfect viewing for us, well, different thinkers on GG.

So glad you enjoyed. Watch it again. You missed things the first time. At least I did.

I don't doubt that I did. TBH, there can't be more than a handful of movies that I am willing to watch more than once, even the good ones. That said, when I got done with the movie, I thought, "I think I am going to have to watch this one again to make sure I've got all the pieces in the right place so to speak." That'll happen probably sooner rather than later.
