p) but I tend to go along with the idea that diversification is probably a good way to go in terms of reducing the likelihood of genetic birth defects and just a generally stronger constitution and gene pool in general.

Also, purebreed dogs/cats etc as another example of what I mean - the mongrels tend to be the sturdiest of the bunch...
