Google has turned to shit

I have been using Google pretty much every day for many years, but it seems to be getting worse with each passing day, and now I think I'm going to have to use a different search engine. I have always put in my queries, Google showed me webpages, and I would usually find the answer to my question. Now it changes my question to many different variations, none of which are pertinent to what I'm trying to find out. Then it shows me a shitload of ads.

The AI is absolutely bat shit crazy. It gives me stupid opinions about my searches, and I have not found an option to disable AI.

Today I was thinking about the George Floyd incident and how the media only talks about what the officers did, but I could not remember anyone actually saying whether Floyd had fought with the police. I googled it with my cell phone. What do you know? Floyd did not resist at the moment extreme force was used. That's not what I asked. I'm surprised Google didn't tell me that Floyd did not resist once he was dead. Google had changed my question so that it could answer a different question for the purpose of concealing the fact that Floyd had fought with the police.

I went home and put the exact same query into Google, but on my computer. Now I got a very different answer.

George Floyd Fighting.webp

I have been using Google pretty much every day of my life for years, and now it's very difficult for me to get an answer to any of my questions. I hate woke people, and I know that they are responsible for programming the stupid goddamn AI. The other day I put in query about the races of man, and Google pretty much called me a racist. Okay, they happen to be correct that time, but not because I was studying about the races of man.

WTF??

A excellent example of the beginning of AI taking control over everything👍
We're really down to just a few more months of "this" like at this site, enjoying the 90's era "social" interactions. That's ALL going away within mere weeks when EVERTHING on the net will MOSSAD AI powered disinfo, and turkish, too. they seem to hate humanity as well (ashykenastys).

I asked it can it breathe and it explains to me how I can breathe. I didnt ask that you dumb negro computer. It cant respond to simple orders just like a nigger.
Interesting observation!

Today I watched body cam video of the Floyd incident - I never had before. He was fighting with the police, doing the opposite of what they told him, screaming like a chimp, and he was yelling "I can't breeve" while he was sitting in a vehicle. we all were told the story of "the boy who cried wolf." The boy yell for help and the wolf ate him. We all understood why that happened.

Floyd committed a crime, had a bunch of drugs in his system, and then did everything else wrong. All I have ever heard was what was done to Floyd, but the media never mentioned Floyd's contribution to his own death.

I saw that video pretty early I guess, yup he caused it like the most of them do.

Cause flash 2.5 im assuming is their free model and its shit @CunningLinguist .

Try gpt5, deepseek, or moonshotai.

Moonshot is china's newer cheap sfw model, if you want smut use deepseek its free, or use gpt5 for important shit not flash 2.5.

I appreciate the advice, but here's the thing, I simply wanted to find all of the original body cam video or perhaps webpages where I could read what humans - hopefully sane, credible humans - had something to say about the subject. I absolutely did not want any AI opinions or BS.

I have relied on Google as the middleman to guide me to web resources. Now it's doing what it can to directly give me information, and I hate it. It's like trying to make an appointment with the doctor, but the receptionist decides that she's going to be the doctor now, but she's not at all qualified. I want to see the doctor, not a better qualified receptionist.

AI results have killed website SEO it's a big complaint especially with niche forums on specific topics, it's either AI slop results, Reddit or another big social that will come up before you do. For goregrish luckily this doesn't matter as we are niche as it gets and not looking for search engine traffic, but it's a big problem.

You know what you may be on to something cause come to think of it, I haven't used Google in a while, I pretty much exclusively get my info from llm's and get them to scan articles and link them, cause I haven't been able to google shit lately lmfao.

Though not ai just gpt's, a pet hate calling them an intelligence, as they can't actually learn, which is kinda funny, cause even a mosquito or a moth species can lean and adapt (white moths are killed in industrial areas leaving only grey and black ones, and black ones are killed in residential areas leaving only white ones, as the one that stands out dies leaving the rest to reproduce) "so like gpt 5 is more stagnant than a fucking moth"...

Anyway yeah, for deep diving Google is just filled with shit, total shit, and smut, sometimes both at once if you set the VPN to Germany lmfao.

Yeah, the search results have been getting overtly left leaning the past few years.

I really like asking their AI if I should be proud to be white/black/asian/mexican etc. very different answers. I should pretty much be ashamed to be white, according to google AI.
black - Yes, you can and should be proud to be Black, as it is a rich, powerful identity tied to a history of resilience, cultural richness, and significant contributions to humanity despite facing systemic adversity and stereotypes. Black pride stems from celebrating shared ancestry, overcoming historical trauma, appreciating vast cultural achievements, and fostering a strong sense of community and identity.

white - This is a complex and sensitive question that can be viewed from different perspectives.

Why is it wrong to say I’m proud to be white?
There's nothing inherently racist about being proud of your heritage. However, being proud of your race is odd and pointless. Race is a human construct, and it'

Your feelings of anger or frustration towards AI are understandable, as many people have voiced similar concerns. Rather than a single issue, the frustration often comes from a combination of different negative impacts and potential risks associated with AI's development and widespread use.

Using Google Search Labs (Temporary/Experimental)

  1. Open: your browser and go to Google.
  2. Sign in: to your Google Account (don't use Incognito mode).
  3. Click on the "Labs" icon: (or the beaker icon) at the top of the page.

        • Shortcut: google.com
        • URL: {google:baseURL}/search?udm=14&q=%s
    • Click: "Add".
    • Click: the three-dot menu next to the new entry and select "Make default".

Thank you for that. I tried weeks ago, and I was not able to do it because the options that Google had given me did not appear on my screen. I'm on my phone right now, but I will try this again when I return to my computer.

Ah okay - that's tough -- hopefully your screen still offers you the "Web" tab at the top between "News" and "Books", that is the simplest solution to ridding yourself of the accursed Ai babble.

Good luck!

Thank you for this! I saw this earlier today when I was on my cell phone, and I replied, but I apparently failed to react to your post. You see, when I use my phone without my reading glasses, it's sort of like Mr. Magoo, if you know what I mean. I have been working all day and then I came back home so tired that I passed out for nearly 3 hours. I'm going to try your suggestion and I'll let you know if it works.

Sometimes I feel as though technology jumps ahead of people's intelligence. It's like somebody comes up with something that's really smart, and then people use it before they know how to.

Many years ago, I called someone and their answering machine picked up. For some reason, I did not feel like leaving a message. I hung up, and then some guy called me immediately and the first thing he said was, "You didn't leave leave a message." Apparently, it was very important to him to not miss a call, yet he let his machine answer the call, rather than himself, and took the chance that someone might hang up without leaving a message. (Besides that new piece of technology, he also had a call back feature on his phone line.)

My point is that answering machines have their place, as so does AI, but people don't need to be needlessly forced to use these things. I am university educated in business management, and one thing that I was taught was that people have less resistance to change when they have been made a part of the change process. To put it another way, people don't like to have shit forced on them and they tend to resist it.
