A tour bus carrying 57 students from Vacaria, two teachers, and the driver lost control after becoming entangled in power lines on Espírito Santo Street in the historic center of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on Friday afternoon (3).
According to witnesses, the driver got out to check the condition of the wire, and the vehicle began to roll downhill. Along the way, it hit eight cars, a van, and a motorcycle before crashing into a residential building and catching fire.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities. Two teenagers were taken to the Emergency Hospital for smoke inhalation and are recovering. The Fire Department controlled the flames in about 40 minutes.
