A tragic accident took place in Bagrain town in Wazirganj police station area of Badaun on Sunday. A man from which he got off the tanker was crushed to death by the same tanker a few seconds later. The accident took place in front of Gauri Shankar Inter College located on Amla-Bisauli Road. The incident was recorded in CCTV. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Abdul Wahid. He was a resident of Manauna village in Bareilly's Amla area.

According to eyewitnesses, the diesel tanker stopped in front of Gauri Shankar Inter College on Sunday morning. Abdul Wahid got down from his cabin and started walking forward. During this time, the driver drove the tanker, which hit Abdul. The wheel of the tanker passed over them. The incident was also recorded on a CCTV camera installed in a nearby building.

On receipt of information, police reached the spot and seized the truck. His driver was also arrested. Police said they are investigating the case on the basis of CCTV footage. Necessary legal action is being taken.
