THIS viral footage lays bare the catastrophic moment a huge lorry hurtles into motorway toll booth - ploughing straight into a group of construction workers.
CCTV films the out-of-control lorry - which was carrying heavy rods - smashing into a construction wall before overturning and sliding along the ground.
The dramatic incident took place on the Mexico-Toluca motorway, in central Mexico, at the La Marquesa toll booths.
Construction workers had been repairing the road where there had been another truck accident there just a few days ago.
Police spokesperson Angel Romero Gonzalez said the lorry’s brakes failed and the driver lost control.
It then crashed into a wall lining the construction site, sending its cargo of steel flying into toll booths which were being repaired.
Emergency service arrived to the scene and attended seven injured workers who were taken to hospital. Two of them had to be transferred by helicopter as they had serious injuries. They were fighting for their lives.
No deaths have been reported.
Police are quizzing the driver who has not been named.
