This redefinition of pretty clear recent histiry, such as Charlie Kirk being murdered merely because he hurt someone's feelings is wrong. No one here is delicate, but I understand why it is tempting to paint "lefties" as such because being tough and supporting the status quo is ideal for short-term luxuriation. There are dozens of books about the lengths to which the US (in conjunction with other "western" countries like France, Germany, England, Japan, South Korea, etc.) have gone to ensure that communist uprisings do not end up being successful; my personal favourite is William Blum's Killing Hope. The only reason why Russia is what it is today, for example, is because it, for several decades, adopted socialist ideals which meant overruling their dictator/monarchy by force. They, like China, have had many successful 5 year plans, making more progress in a few decades than the US/UK have in hundreds of years in most industries. Modern-Day China is complicated and not totally morally upright, obviously. They relied on the exploitation of many of their own people to get to where they are today. Both China and Russia organised their governments very differently but ultimately had to do the same to protect themselves from infiltration by the English. This is why they have felt it necessary to develop their militaries to the degrees that they did.
