Mexican authorities are searching for an Arizona-based content creator after a video showed her getting abducted at gunpoint by multiple men in Mexico on Jan. 20.

- In a video of the incident, the content creator appeared to struggle as she was forced into a vehicle at a parking lot, which promptly sped away after she was inside

Nicole Pardo Molina — a 20-year-old Mexican American internet personality — appeared to be getting out of her truck when another vehicle pulled up next to her. Two men exited the vehicle, and they engaged in a brief struggle as she was forced into their vehicle and they sped away, as seen in footage that circulated online.
According to El País, a prominent Spanish newspaper, the incident occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center in Culiacán, a mid-sized city in the Sinaloa region of Mexico.
Shortly after Molina’s abduction, Sinaloa’s Attorney General's Office activated the Alba Protocol, a state-level mechanism to search for missing women, and released a missing persons poster with details about her physical appearance. The poster notes that Molina was last seen on Jan. 20, her safety “may be at risk,” and “she may be the victim of a crime.”
Molina maintains a following of over 180,000 on Instagram, where she posts about her travels throughout Mexico, and has a prominent profile on OnlyFans, a site known for creators sharing adult content. Molina also operated Nicholette Shop, an online store where she sold bracelets and clothing, some of which included references to cartel leader Joaquín Guzmán, commonly referred to as “El Chapo.”
In a statement released on Jan. 21, Sinaloa authorities acknowledged the possibility that the creator’s kidnapping was linked to ongoing tensions between cartel groups.
“According to initial investigations, three armed men in a stolen white vehicle threw tire spikes at the SUV the victim was traveling in, intercepted it, and then forced the victim into the car,” read the statement, reported El País. “Versions circulating on social media, particularly TikTok, point to the Los Mayos faction as responsible for the incident; this is part of the ongoing investigation.”
Per El País, Molina was born and raised in Phoenix, Ariz. At the time of her kidnapping, she was a resident of El Salado, a town roughly 25 miles from where she was kidnapped, though she frequently travelled back to Phoenix.
Pardo seemingly last updated her Instagram account on Dec. 22, sharing a video inside a restaurant."
