A long rifle really? My first “long gun” was a m1912 and its 4 feet long. It shoot a high pressure reload that shot 1200 yards many years ago. A AR15 22 cal. lol ok. My two pistols shoot a .308 and a 10mm. Why does America feel weak? I know the military is going for a 6mm now but why did they do the 556 in the first place?

5.56 is cheap to make and does moderate tissue damage. A wounded combatant is a drain on their unit and demoralizing.
