I'd imagine this is just the tip of the iceberg, perverts working with vulnerable people is a huge worry when it comes to victim count.

Well at least he's in jail, hopefully they deep dive his history.

I mean they know there are others hopefully they can get convictions for those also.
 
A little side

When I was initially losing my marbles the other year.. before things got bad, that sort of "storm in the horizon" phase like watching a tornado barrel your way.

I had this guys from "minds" come around, unofficially like. (Minds is a uk mental health.. charity? It might mot be a charity but it's one of our services)

Anyway he was very into bdsm and things along these lines. He'd actually popped round under the pretense of having a chat and bringing me a smoke (green).
Within about 10 minutes of him being at the cottage he said "I reckon I could break you if you'd want that"

And then showed me a bunch of pictures of some girls he'd taken out to this sorta ruin in the woods at night. Tied them up, flogged em, beat em.. etc
And sure it was all "kinky shit"
But that was a big eye opener, definitely some predators in that field.. looking for people who are either too lost to care, or to easily called crazy and not believed.
Safe to say I got rid of him sharpish after that.


Obviously not on the awful scale of what's happened in the story you've shared.
But a little anecdotal tidbit.
Kept sending emails for a while and trying to convince me to do the whole lot with him "learning to surrender will help"

Did you never consider reporting him?

He has a lot of access to vulnerable people with mental health issues, guy sounds like he needs stomping out.

I had something really terrible happen back in 2016 too which involved alot of people...
And I never said anything

Unfortunately I'm in the category of
"too crazy to believe"
And just never wanted to open myself up to the attention it would bring

Obviously one should always look after their own mental health paramount over mostly anything, but people like him should not be in the positions of trust they are in.

If you know his details you should consider an anonymous tip off, maybe it could even corroborate someone else who may of said something or at least he'd be on a list somewhere I dunno, I dread to think what he's been up to in the decade gone.

I mean you commented what you did, and I'm just asking you what happend man. I know what happend in the thread. Actually I completely forgot what it was even about I'd have to scroll up and read it again. So yeah. You should have told an adult man because you might have saved other kids who don't know how to stick up for themselves or can't say no because they are scared or whatever
