A man is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash Monday night in South Memphis.
Memphis Police officers responded to the crash around 10:30 p.m. on South Parkway East near Worthington Street, where, officers found a man who had been hit by a car. The vehicle left the scene, according to police.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police described as a gray sedan, possibly a Ford Fusion, with damage to the front driver's side and a missing driver's side rearview mirror.
Last night's hit-and-run now adds to the tally of almost 200 total pedestrian-involved car crashes this year alone in the Bluff City, with over 75 percent of those crashes leading to injuries and 22 deaths as a result.
Memphis Police are asking for anyone with information about the unknown driver or the crash to call Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.
