2002-2003 I was just a teenager and I came across consumptionjunction.com (no longer exists to my knowledge) Also charonboat.com and the ol classic Rotten.com
They're basically the three websites that got me into all this. Ogrish in early 2000 was the place to be as well.
I don't remember the name of the first site where I met real gore, that was a lot of time ago, then Rotten and Ogrish.

I guess I should add BMEzine. No murders or accidents, but the owner (Shannonn Larratt, snuffed it in 2013) and admin did not only include play piercings and light blood play; he went so far as to count voluntary amputees, people with subincisions, completely split cocks and others with urges and practices regarded as mainstream society as sick, as part of the body modification culture.
The stuff that was popular enough to be found through search engines back in the day. Sites like Rotten, or images that floated around on file sharing from places like charonboat, and the ever popular BMEzine.
Aside from Rotten and BME, I was pretty nervous about visiting any other sites, but I'd frequent some of the sketchier yahoo chats, hoping to see the next Webcam suicide or mutilation. Worked out a couple times but was laborious and you had to sift through Koreans who wanted to show you their dicks, since I was underage at the time I figured it was best to move on. So I started to get into the more easily accessible stuff like faces/traces of death and all other manner of shock videos.
Once I'd seen most of it, I put it on the back burner for a while. Eventually joined up here. Haven't really needed to go anywhere else since.
