On PC you could play both. Usually, I play in 1st, but for the sword fights in Morrowind/Oblivion 3rd was helpful too. Especially against 3 or more enemies, you had a better view. But Skyrim, Fallout 3, etc I played only in 1st. Like every FPS game.
Do you play Fallout 4? Is it good?

No, I had just a look at their page and read the description. The setting reminded me a bit of STALKER.
Usually, I play online or multiplayer only on closed servers/clan events with some German mil-sim guys.
