Steam Summer Sale... I have the whole 'Mount & Blade' series now, someone here mentioned it as a good game.

If they spawn with some soldiers kill the soldiers first, they'll (aliens) will resurrect them most of the time rather than take a turn shooting at you. Then next turn point blank the alien in the face with both barrels of a shotgun using a ranger, two kills for one. Always kill those annoying fucking flying drones first with grenades (you have shit aim at first), that stun bullshit they use is painful. Rush laser research and get +5 aim for everyone equipped with one, skip building magnetic gun s tho it's not worth the $$$ arming everyone so just continue to coil then plasma weapons. You will toast entire pods at once with one technical anyway.

Yep, works good now. When the soldiers are better skilled/armed the aliens are not the big problem. I have them in groups of 3 - 4 now, sometimes accompanied by a huge alien-blob (slow, unarmed) and snake-hybrids (armed and very long tongue).

Thanks for the hint! Just downloading. And there are some planes/DLCs for sale at the moment too.
Good WW1 simulators are rare, most are arcade shit. If this one has a 'realistic' flight-model, I'll buy the other aircrafts as well.

I have started to play this amazing TBS. Set during WW2 and is free.
The only bad thing is that you only can play some stuff for free and the rest of the campaign you need to buy. But beside that it's a pretty nice game.

I have this game too, don't know if I should buy the extensions, hex-map based games are not 100% my taste. Remind me at chess.

Early German fighter, Fokker E III. The engine runs always at full throttle, because only 100HP rotary engine. If you want to slow down, you have to interrupt the ignition for some seconds (not too long!), landing is quite tricky.

IL-2: Cliffs of Dover. Unfortunately unfinished game, but the Team Fusion patched/modded version is playable. Too few aircrafts though. I'm playing the IL-2 series since ~2003.
