Tish Hyman, who quickly became a darling of the right in her fight to keep biological men out of women’s spaces, announced that she will be running for mayor of Los Angeles.
“It’s official I’m running for mayor of Los Angeles!” Hyman said in a post to X. “It’s time to UNITE IN TRUTH!”
Hyman catapulted to becoming a household name with conservative commentators like Megyn Kelly and speaking at rallies after she went viral in November for raising concerns over a biological man, who identified as a woman, who was using the women’s locker room at Gold’s Gym. Hyman shared on social media that she had several negative encounters with the individual, who threatened her. In the end, Hyman had her gym membership cancelled.
"There are men. grown men with big dicks in the women's locker room, and that's why I'm being kicked out, and I want to make sure that all the girls know," Hyman said in a video from November when she was removed from the gym.
Hyman, a black lesbian who voted for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, has challenged Democrat politicians' support of allowing biological males to compete in women's sports and gain access to female-only spaces.
At a town hall meeting, Hyman questioned California state Sen. Scott Weiner if he was going to put the safety concerns of women ahead of validating the identities of transgender women. She pointed out that under California law, a man can enter a female-only space simply by saying that they self-identify as a woman.
“We want everyone to be safe,” Weiner answered Hyman.

. On a serious note, I think the left did themselves a serious disservice backing trans the way they did. I was shocked, fucking shocked, when my very butch ex sister in law and her partner said they were voting for Trump. Especially since her girlfriend is like a white nigger food stamp queen whose never had a job. I mean these girl worship black culture so I would have bet 5 to 1 they'd have voted for that JCPenny suit model Kamala. Gay people mostly (and this is coming from all, but a very small handful of people I know but also a few articles I've read) dislike the trans "movement " and hate being grouped in with them. I never cared growing up in the 90s and early 00s about trannys, we had one that worked at the 711 when I was a kid and thought it was a bit strange but nothing more.
