Police A gun is a gun even if it's a lighter

In Hindsight Everything Is Different

Back story - happened in Bangkok:

Full quote:

"An Indian man was apprehended and charged for threatening people with a pistol-shaped lighter in the Siam Square of Bangkok on Monday. The incident unfolded around 4 pm in front of the Novotel hotel in Pathum Wan district, causing panic among bystanders, which resulted in swift action from the police.

As per the report in the Bangkok Post, the 41-year-old man, identified as Sahil Ram Thadani, was recorded dancing on the road and verbally abusing all the passersby. In a while, police and security guards rushed to the spot and attempted to calm him down. However, Sahil Ram refused to act aggressively and reportedly threatened officers. Later, he was taken into custody at Pathum Wan police station.
A viral video of the incident surfaced on the internet, showing Thadani brandishing a gun-shaped lighter at pedestrians, startling both locals and tourists in one of the busiest shopping districts of Bangkok.

Later in the footage, he is seen sitting on the ground as security personnel approach to detain him. Despite being repeatedly asked to stand, he refuses, prompting guards to drag him away. He can be heard crying and asking for the police before eventually apologising for his actions.'"

Awesome.

The security guards, three or four of them, weigh as much as the guy himself, it's catastrophic and the guy looks like he's on some kind of drug addict or schizophrenic.

I've seen such a mini gun on the internet, it's not necessarily a lighter in every case, but it fires small ammunition with normal gunpowder that can go through a beer can, so there may be some concern in this case too

For example, the 2.7mm Kolibri (2.7×9mm) is an Austro-Hungarian small arms designed by by Franz Pfannl from 1910-1914 that was produced by the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy from 1914 to 1918, it is capable of killing people, yet it is so small that it fits in the palm of your hand

Amazing - good to remind us they created sophisticated precision gear more than a hundred years ago.

This weapon was designed by an Austrian watchmaker Franz Pfannl in 1914

At the last auction in the USA, a plain undecorated Kolibri was sold for $2644

(a decorated engraved copy would probably be worth much more)

Although I personally don't see the point of the gun, as it is so small that I don't even know how to hold it and shoot it
There is no video on the internet about how to shoot it
