Any nurses or would the resident doctors know?

Fuck that. I have video of me from the extended hospital stay in 2020 where I was learning to walk again. Its me and a collection of nurses & physiotherapists....one moving the IV pole, one moving the O2 tank, one pushing a chair behind me in case I needed a break, one keeping me steady and one filming me (I didn't think I was making progress so they wanted to record me to see how I was improving day by day). In the ICU with my bare hairy ass hanging out the gown. This was after a few months of being in hospital so by that point you have no dignity or shame left so the last thing to be worried about is a gown not providing full coverage.

So ya, they're going to get me hairy ass and all.

They really don't want to be responsible for any personal items going missing. They're likely going to tell me to be there at 6am with a surgery sometime after noon. WTF are they expecting me to do for six hours? I can only wank so many times before they tell me to stop.

Thank you. I don't know if I'll be able to take any pictures of me since everything is internal but will see what I can do.
Please don't take any pictures for fuck sake. There's enough Gore on this site as it is.

I'm going for day surgery next week and went to the pre-admission clinic yesterday and was as expected. Took vitals, an ECG, some bloodwork and a list of instructions.

I thought one of them was a bit weird. They want me to bring a water bottle (makes sense) but are rather emphatic that they want it to be empty. Why? Do they think I'm going to be smuggling in some vodka? Are they going to give me special hospital water?

Thoughts?

Sheesh man, no pitcher of iced water for you? You have to bring your own container? What, do you need to supply your own surgical blade and staples? I suppose you're just going to have to deal with any discomfort or pain too, eh? I think you're seeing Theodoric of York, Medieval Barber!

Its unfortunately at a hospital thats in a ghetto part of the city but I know the doctor/surgeon who's cool and the ORs are relatively modern. Worst part of the hospital is emerg, its a fucking gong show.

I certainly echo our other members in the hope that your procedure is as successful and as pain free as can be! Compliment an attractive nurse for me, as well! Do try not to drool too much in front of them. :)

Thank you. I'm not too concerned. I've had this done once before under a local anesthetic and it wasn't really a success so we're trying it again this time under general. I shouldn't be under for more than 30 minutes.

That video was taken in West Hills. That’s in LA… so the guy was most likely @ZeroK

As per the instructions I called the day surgery unit this afternoon to get my time for tomorrow. Nurse was very friendly and I asked her why an empty bottle. Her answer actually made a lot of sense. I guess some patients can't be trusted to not drink anything while waiting for their surgery so the protocol is to bring an empty bottle that they'll fill for you post procedure. I asked if I could chew gum while waiting and nope....absolutely nothing by mouth.

Possibly so you can't drink any b4 your procedure if you're being put to sleep...
You're not allowed water for up to two hours before surgery...
If u have a filled bottle you MIGHT be tempted. 🤔

Good luck and hope all goes well...😁

They're rather obsessive about the nothing by mouth. I'm scheduled for 2:30pm and they want me NPO from midnight tonight.....that's not going to happen. I'm going to have a light breakfast with a little protein, some carbs & some fruit and a coffee.

That's a bizarre concept. Why tell a NBM patient to bring an empty bottle? Hospitals are full of jugs and cups and all manner of shit they can hide or provide to you...
