have you not realized yet that too many cops are simply morons? That's the worst teamwork imaginable. The 1st thing I would do would be to fire whoever's in charge of those idiots because it appears they have no training at all.
Dangerous for both. Time and time again it's proven safer for both parties if center mass is shot, they don't typically shoot at the head either. A lot of times people stay in the fight and don't give up if you aim for the extremities. Seen in the video it didn't even make him stay down. Center mass is much more shocking, takes the wind out of you instantly, and they'll usually lose their will to fight real quick. That's a different approach for BPD... just shooting her in the leg a couple times versus shooting her dead. Good on them. She was obviously in crisis. ๐๐๐
They should of beat whoever pulled the damn fire alarm! ๐ it's rare but very loud fire alarms and sirens can induce irrational, dangerous, and even violent agression and other undesirable behaviors in some people. I know they're supposed to be loud enough they wake people up but, did that one really need to be on?

Legs are smaller target so there's more likely the rounds will go somewhere else and risk hurting other people. American dry wall is not good for stopping bullets. There's a lot of big arteries in the leg too so it's somewhat safer but not "he'll definitely survive this over other options," level of safe. It's just a bad idea all around.
