Before modern smartphones, which was your favorite cell phone?

I remember having the push-to-talk phone by Nextel. I think it was just a clever gimmick by the company to reduce bandwidth usage. No surprise they didn't last.

Nextel existed LONG before Boost Mobile, however.
The reason I liked boost, was because even if you didn't pay for actual service, we knew the code to get on the free channel fur chirp. None of us actually called anyone lol

Motorola RAZR. Thing was a tank, I miss that phone

My very first cell phone was the Motorola StarTac. Because I worked for one of the first cellular companies in the northeastern U.S., I was given this phone, which normally sold for over $1000usd in 1995. Only rich people and drug dealers carried these.

Still only had two hours of talk time per month, but I did have free nights and weekends, which was convenient for meeting women at the clubs. "Yeah, you can really call your friends with it! Here, try it out!" This phone got me laid on many occasions.
