A hit-and-run incident occurred at the intersection of Mangunrejo Village, Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency, late Sunday night (Jan 25, 2026) around 11:13 PM WIB.
As a result of the incident, a motorcyclist—observed by our reporter—is in critical condition and currently undergoing intensive care.
The accident began when the victim, identified as Revaldy, a resident of Burengan Ward, Kediri City, was riding his motorcycle through the scene.
Based on CCTV footage circulating widely on social media, an unidentified pickup truck was speeding through the intersection when it slammed into the victim's two-wheeled vehicle.
Instead of providing assistance, the driver of the pickup truck sped up and fled the scene immediately after the collision occurred.
As of the time of this report, Revaldy remains under serious medical care. The victim was evacuated to Gambiran General Hospital (RSUD) in Kediri City due to severe injuries sustained in the accident.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Law Enforcement Unit (Kanit Gakkum) of the Kediri Police Traffic Unit, Inspector (Ipda) Suhendra, confirmed the hit-and-run incident. His team is currently gathering evidence at the scene and questioning witnesses to identify the perpetrator's vehicle.
The police are also urging members of the public who were at the location during the incident, or who possess CCTV footage along the suspect's escape route, to report immediately to assist with further legal proceedings.
