Due to overall length with the trailer (your base length AKA overall wheelbase), you need more room to turn so you don't curb it.
Those goddamn scooters are an absolute death sentence🤣🤣
I think it needed to make a wide turn because of it's length. The dumb scooter rider had ample time to stop but just kept riding into the path of the turn that contributed to his demise.
