BKB™ – Bare Knuckle Boxing (UK Promotion) is the world's first fully sanctioned and regulated bare-knuckle boxing organization, based in the United Kingdom.

Basic premise:
  • No gloves – fighters use tape and gauze wraps only.
  • Focus is on boxing technique, not brawling or MMA-style fighting.

There are some female bouts planned. Going to be interesting to see how they perform in the ring.

I’m a big fan of MMA, so I figured I’d give watching BKB a shot, and it’s not for me.

It feels like someone took all the finesse out of fighting and said, “Let’s just mash faces until someone can’t blink anymore.”

The injuries in BKB aren’t a maybe... they’re basically part of the rulebook. Every fight ends with someone looking like they tried to kiss a cheese grater.

I’m old enough to remember when clueless politicians were calling MMA "human cockfighting", which was ridiculous, because even back then, fighters could grapple, strategize, and do more than just throw haymakers until someone loses a tooth.

Ironically, BKB is way closer to that cockfighting comparison. It’s just rock ‘em sock ‘em robots… with blood.

And broken hands almost, Every. Single. Time.

People are free to watch whatever combat carnival they want, but I’ll stick with MMA.

It’s got nuance, technique, and at least a chance someone walks away with their face still attached.

I haven’t missed an UFC ppv in years. BK lured some decent guys with $ but it’s mostly MMA/Boxers who couldn’t make it. I been on Joshua Van since before the Chiarez fight, always talking him up. Picked him in all my parleys, so it’s nice to see him doing what he’s doing. But Pantoja is an animal. If Van can stay on his feet he can win.

Same here... I’ve caught every UFC PPV event since at least 2014.

100% and a guy like Mike Perry is one of those MMA fighters who were okay but just couldn’t get it done in the octagon, but he’s found his calling in BKB.

Glad to see he's successful in the sport, and I think his next fight is in early October.

Yes, Van is a real problem on the feet for anybody, but Pantoja is a monster. So between now and the time they face off, Van is going to have to focus mostly on takedown defense if he stands any chance against Pantoja.

Wow - bloody

I like people getting paid to fuck each other up, the bloodier the better. Give them chainsaws and samurai swords, let them fight to the death.

If you don't like it, don't watch it.
