The owners (rightly so) don't give a fuck who they offend and there's nothing the authorities can do to stop them displaying or selling this stuff - it's been tried before; the police now don't bother responding to complaints because they're powerless to order the shop front displays be removed.

I was looking at the numbers from a poll conducted by YouGov, and the amount of approval from Brits regarding what's happening there is bleak. It is inscrutable, this willingness to give up so much freedom for such flimsy justifications. I don't celebrate tradition or value many things; in fact, I'm fairly close to being what some might consider nihilistic. However, what is happening right now in the UK, in my opinion, is something worth fighting against. It is truly sad to see.
