We don’t have enough police officers to give the guns to. Those two probably had to wait half an hour for back up to arrive. I’m always amazed to see how many police officers turn up so quickly in the American videos.

You gotta train them to use the guns too but, I agree the British Police, the ones that are above Community Officers need to be armed with guns if they aren't already. There's not enough Armed Response Teams and their criminals probably are well armed even if random people like to think they aren't.
I think less officers would get hurt though they seem to like fighting & beating the crap out of criminals too there. They're brawlers, the lot of them. Chicks cops too. 🤣

It's only a matter of time before the police are armed, this county's been flooded with 3rd world tramps with 3rd world values. Guns are the only way to safely deal with them.
Back when I was a kid if you fucked about like that you'd get CS gassed but I'm guessing it's been banned since, I don't make the rules but I'd be fine with the police having guns, they should definitely have tazers as standard though.
