It depends on who you might end up fighting against and your allies. But if you compare military investment in the United States with that of any European country, it's like comparing Godzilla to a gecko.
I'm in Latin America, there's no war here, some politicians stealing and huge taxes are enough for poverty and death.

Strange thing is I just watched a Churchill film about when they tried to get Churchill to broker a peace deal at the time of Dunkirk, and the king had just grown some bolloxs and told him he supported him and that he should ask the people, so Churchill was on his way to west minster to sign the agreement with his war cabinet to meet Mussolini, he got out the car and hit the underground, and everyone was shocked, he then got in a tube and everyone was shocked, he spoke to the people on the train about what he should do, fight till the last and maybe all of them will die fighting or go for a peace deal giving away England, the whole carrage basically said no surrender, he then got to Westminster and invited side ministers to a side room to go through the same thing, he then told the war cabinet that he wasn’t going to go for peace
