Police Chasing a Biker

In Hindsight Everything Is Different

A Fenton man is facing 11 charges after a police chase in Grand Blanc Township.
Statement from Grand Blanc Township Police Department: This criminal thought he could outrun our officers on a motorcycle.
“He was even a prohibited person from possessing firearms and tossed a gun and methamphetamine while fleeing on foot. Bad idea.
“We chased.
“We caught him.
“We recovered the firearm and drugs.
“Let’s be clear: there is no law stopping police in Michigan from pursuing vehicles or motorcycles. While some agencies choose to restrict pursuits, the Grand Blanc Township Police Department isn’t in the business of giving criminals a free pass.
“We trust our officers’ judgment, training, and professionalism to know when to pursue— and this time, it took a dangerous person off the street.”

Not a very good rider at all. Probably would have died if he kept going...
