White Phosphorous will burn through whatever it touches,it will burn clothing and melt through an engine block. Those dead people did not die from WP,they look burned from lying dead under the sun for days and weeks, I have seen those same pics on Arab propaganda sites that claim "Willy Peter" did that but it's not a gas that burns people but not their clothing. Some commandos use WP grenades to set on the hood of a vehicle as it will burn through the engine block and to the ground. It is also used as a "spotter round" for artillery.
