I'm wanting an Aussie ex army mog from the auctions. I really like the ones with the crane behind the cap. The 8 forward and reverse gears and the low low ratios sound awesome. And then there's the ground clearance due to the wheel gears etc.
Not sure about the pre selector gear box as I've never used one but obviously one can learn how to if one can manage a standard stick shift. Which less and less cars come with these days, God knows why.
And once electric vehicles are the norm the ability to use a stick shift will go the way of using double declutching on non syncro boxes.
I practice changing gears both up and down on my Landcruiser without use of the clutch and can do it ok with just a little throttle and gentle pressure on the stick. My son thinks I have magic powers as he can only drive an auto...
