Look around me
I can see my life before me
Running rings around the way it used to be

I am older now
I have more than what I wanted
But I wish that I had started long before I did

And there's so much time to make up everywhere you turn
Time we have wasted on the way
So much water moving underneath the bridge
Let the water come and carry us away

Oh, when you were young
Did you question all the answers
Did you envy all the dancers who had all the nerve

Look around you now
You must go for what you wanted
Look at all my friends who did and got what they deserved

So much time to make up everywhere you turn
Time we have wasted on the way
So much water moving underneath the bridge
Let the water come and carry us away

So much love to make up everywhere you turn
Love we have wasted on the way
So much water moving underneath the bridge
Let the water come and carry us away
Let the water come and carry us away

^ these guys have incredible harmonies

This one is the Low End Specilast remix from the USA
In the USA, only guitar strumming and screaming into the microphone are popular, and everyone is dressed like a 13-year-old (hoodie or pijama and big jeans with their asses sticking out of them, baseball caps and sneakers) even at the age of 45, which I don't appreciate.
Americans generally don't appreciate European-style progressive or house music, but in Great Britain this music genre has a serious history of at least 35 years.
Germans listen to techno the most, I used to listen to that too, but later I switched to progressive and deep house. Sometimes I listen to tech house, which isn't bad either.
I think a Greek guy makes such old progressive house mixes but these are at least 20 years old music
Some of them have become lasting music even today, regardless of the fact that they are two decades old, but DJs in Europe don't play these kinds of music anymore because they are considered ancient
(maybe it's really at some nostalgia party or some DJ who is not aware of today's style who plays such music nowadays. For my part, I only listen to them out of nostalgia because these were fresh music when I was young and went out to party a lot, but I only listen to the ones that I think were better)
i liked to read that. my musical tastes have never changed. i still listen to the great tunes from yesteryear. why waste time listening to 100 songs that sound like shit to get that one new good song, when i can listen to great tunes i haven't listened to in years but know i still love listening to them when i hear that song.

ps--i'll listen to some songs here, and other suggestions from others in this thread...it'll broaden my mind, which is always a good feeling too

@mrln - for all that I am a crusty old Gen-X belligerent, here's a selection of music that I find appealing.

Tom Rowlands "Nothing but Pleasure" - great driving music.

TeknoAxe "Above all the Chaos" - juicy synth slabs to mellow out to.

Emika "Battles" - more synth slabs, and depressing vocals.

Michael Ball - "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" - because he sings it with such passion.

I'm a weirdo who loves banging techno, power-rock, and compelling classical and operatic pieces. Enjoy.
