My older cousin Robby (Robin) turned me onto Pat Benatar when I was a kid. He listened to mainly old rock/metal from the 70s/80s. When he was in his room listening to music, I would sit close by and listen as well. Didn't care for some music he played but there were a lot of bands I did like or could relate to in some way.

After reading my post, it didn't come out the way I intended. I'll clarify, I would sit or stand outside of his room (closed door) while he listened to music. Learned a lot about bands from him just because I was a curious/nosey and also a concerned younger niece.
