may i ask why you stopped dancing. if you like folk its never too late to start again. Fresh start at the new year :)
perhaps east european folk will bring back some mood also💃

Folk dancing was introduced to me I believe it was the 4th grade. I remember it being fun and after I moved on to the next grade, I didn't explore it further. My husband and I went to a charity event in October at a bird sanctuary and there was a Folk band playing. They were probably in their 60's/70's and they were awesome!!. After a while, they encouraged people in the crowd to come up and learn how to dance. Of course my husband and I were too chicken and stayed next to the outdoor heater they had as it was quite chilly that evening but a few of the courageous younger people there joined in as they instructed them on what to do. It was a fun night!!

Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it. Maybe I'll learn how to Folk dance someday :).

Takes me back!! Had the opportunity to see the Stray Cats this summer. Saw Brian Setzer Christmas orchestra last year and I loved it so much, we bought tickets to see it again this year but it was cancelled due to his tinnitis . Wish people would wise up and learn to use earplugs. I know listening to music loudly is the best but I do cherish my hearing. I take earplugs to every concert I go to. I hear the music clearly only not in a decibel that destroys my eardrums.

its understandable that in crowded area is not maybe best place, because there are no privacy so no need to feel any shame if there is any :)
i think dancing just the way how you feel do make body move is more important then trying to do every step perfectly according to what genre person is trying to perform. for sure few steps here and there may go wrong, but what matters is your spending good quality time with your loving partner and thats what counts💃🕺👫

lol i used do also be involved quite lot with dancing in elementary school when i was 8-11. once grown up woman picked me to learn that crowd dance and i was the one who had to embarrass myself front of everyone :lolnasty:
