Dancing in the Street 1985 David Bowie and Mick Jagger

I love the look Bowie gives to Jagger at ~ 2:18

Calling out around the world
Are you ready for a brand new beat
Summer's here and the time is right
For dancing in the street

They're dancing in Chicago (dancing in the street)
Down in New Orleans (dancing in the street)
In New York City (dancing in the street)

All we need is music, sweet music
There'll be music everywhere
There'll be swinging, swaying, and records playing
Dancing in the street

Oh, it doesn't matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on, every guy, grab a girl
Everywhere around the world

They'll be dancing (dancing in the street)
They're dancing in the street (dancing in the street)

It's an invitation across the nation
A chance for folks to meet
There'll be laughing, singing, and music swinging
Dancing in the street

Philadelphia, P-A (dancing in the street)
Baltimore and D.C. now (dancing in the street)
Can't forget the Motor City (dancing in the street)

All we need is music, sweet music
There'll be music everywhere
There'll be swinging, swaying, and records playing
Dancing in the street

Oh, it doesn't matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on, every guy, grab a girl
Everywhere around the world

They're dancing
They're dancing in the street (dancing in the street)
Way down in L.A. (dancing in the street)
Every day, they're dancing in the street (dancing in the street)
Let's form a big, strong line (dancing in the street)
Get in time, we're dancing in the street (dancing in the street)
Across the ocean blue (dancing in the street)
Me and you, we're dancing in the street

How can you be that racist and listen to such liberal woke bands 🤣 bruh that's some hypocritical bs right there.
Becuse is metal is metal. Doesn't matter where it comes from... I like the music, fuck all what the band is lol.
Imo NU metal kinda ruined the whole metal scene...

Makes me wonder how old you're, an just how long have been listening to metal? Do you even know the birth place of metal?

Debate over the origins of metal are largely believed to be between Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple though I like to argue that The Beatles Helter Skelter is the true origin for metal and serves as the basis for the genre by and large. I get you point it just seems odd to contribute to something which propagate things that go against your beliefs it's hypocritical and is doing a disservice to yourself to support them.

That's just hard rock, not metal. Heavy metal is a british term of first generation. I call it glam rock,or stadium rock. Though i do agree it may have been heavy for that time. I'm more into thrash 80's and 90's hardcore and metalcore. But as far as death metal i will prefer scandinavian metal any day.

I mean you can call it what you want however rit is accepted that those three bands are the original metal bands Black Sabbath especially is credited as creating the genre. What you say vs what the defined and accepted origins are clearly different and one person does not dictate that which has a general widely accepted consensus.

One of the most incredible songs ever.

Waterloo Sunset 1967 The Kinks

Dirty old river, must you keep rolling
Flowing into the night
People so busy, makes me feel dizzy
Taxi light shines so bright
But I don't need no friends
As long as I gaze on Waterloo sunset
I am in paradise

Every day I look at the world from my window
But chilly, chilly is the evening time
Waterloo sunset's fine

Terry meets Julie, Waterloo Station
Every Friday night
But I am so lazy, don't want to wander
I stay at home at night
But I don't feel afraid
As long as I gaze on Waterloo sunset
I am in paradise

Every day I look at the world from my window
But chilly, chilly is the evening time
Waterloo sunset's fine

Millions of people swarming like flies 'round Waterloo underground
But Terry and Julie cross over the river
Where they feel safe and sound
And they don't need no friends
As long as they gaze on Waterloo sunset
They are in paradise

Waterloo sunset's fine
