We had an Indian who sold single cigs to us, made so much money he bought an street fighter arcade with it and made even more money!

Literally had queues of kids buying cigs and throwing coins into his machine. Smart guy for an Indian!

Back when I was a teenager, a "loosey" was sold at quite a few stores. Usually 25 cents each.

Yup a smelly jumbali guy selling fags out of a sweet jar, he told me they were from crushed packs of fags 15p each bargain at the time bought loads n sold em at the smokers corner....... lazy teens, means money in my jeans!! they couldn't be arsed walking to Jumbali John's so I sold em for 25p each 🤣🤣

there was a store that sold "looseys" for fifteen cents. and a rolling paper for a dime. thats what youd get for a quarter.
this guy did it for years... now its a bodega. i havent been in there in eons.

No, but the gypsies were excellent at robbing students smoking cigarettes outside in the yard during breaks between classes: they started by first asking for a cigarette, then they kept asking for cigarettes, and then they asked for money. Of course, if you didn't give them to them, they were still offended, and if they didn't manage to physically abuse you, they brought their larger gypsy relatives or friends to the school and beat you up with them.
You couldn't leave your bag unattended for even 10 seconds, because the gypsies would immediately steal everything from it.

You could buy cigarettes in a store in the 90s, even if you were under 18, even for 1 cigarette in black, but it cost twice as much if you only bought the cigarettes one by one as if you had bought a whole pack.
