when can we have a sleep over?On my tummy, legs spread, arms one above my head, one tucked under the pillow.
You need to check Your prostate.Very well, but often weird and shitty dreams, so far I remember them.
Important: No Chinese dragon chasing after ~8 pm! Or I'd be up the whole night again.
The peeing status is up to two times per night at the moment... is that ok?
I drink much coffee and water over the day.

What strain of weed?I suffered for years with insomnia due to anxiety. Finally figured out the formula that keeps me down all night: shot of nyquil, 100 mg trazodone, 800 mg valerian root. And sometimes that doesn't work. That's when vitamin M comes in. Works every time.View attachment 722537
Yup. 50-100mg Seroquel + 7.5mg Zopiclone every night is the ticket. Nice gentle falling asleep, one or two wake-ups to piss and no "hangover" effect in the AM.Anyone try Seroquel? Jeez…
Four is my magic number. Two under my head, one to wrap my left arm around (I sleep on my right side/stomach and like to hold on to something, GF & I aren't cuddlers in bed) and another to elevate my right arm or my shoulder will cramp up.Pillows are very important to me
I'm jealous. Sleep has never been easy to come by.i've always slept well
How do you convince your doc to write you a script for that many Ambien?I'm a fat, lazy bastard and, therefore, don't sleep well. I take 3 Ambien a night (max is 1) and it still doesn't knock me out. I take so many meds, some that supposedly make you drowsy, but I still do not sleep well. I just need to get off my lazy as and start exercising to help tire myself out.
My favorite is something called Crude Oil. It's an indica strain and packs a knockout punch. I grew a couple plants of it last year and got enough to keep me for a good long time. What strain of weed?

And yes, a very firm mattress. I love it, the GF hates it which is why we often do sleep together.

Wow unless you have other symptoms, seroquel is not such a good choice for sleep aid. It comes with several of the atypical antipsychotic side effects, and can leave a hangover effect. Similarly zolpiclone technically belongs in the benzo similar family (dependance) and has a lot of weird side effects like sleep walking and driving amongst others. What strain of weed?

Sleep has never come easy to me, even as a kid. I was first introduced to imovane/zopiclone following an MVC and an extended hospital stay. The practice at the time was to medicate patients at night with 5mg lorazepam, sleeping patients = happy nurses and on discharge my GP transitioned me to zopiclone. I've been on lorazepam or an other benzo for extended periods at various times and I've fortunately never had issues discontinuing. Just cold turkey and thats it, no cravings, etc. As for zopiclone, in almost 25 years of mostly continued use I've only had one negative experience and that was more behavioral and not physiological. I have an excellent relationship with my family doctor and we're both comfortable with what I'm being prescribed. I have a history with depression and in addition to the seroquel being effective as a sleep aid it also helps with my mood.Wow unless you have other symptoms, seroquel is not such a good choice for sleep aid. Have you tried a combo of antihistamine like doxylamine or promethazine and 10mg melatonin? There's also passion flower, Valerian combinations. Progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, all are much safer and non habit forming.
Then there's good old sleep hygiene, no devices in or before bed, if you aren't asleep in 30 min get up, complete dark, sea sound app on the phone, chamomile tea, etc etc
All I'm saying mainly if a doctor writes you repeat scripts for things like zolpiclone or temazapam, you should look out, as they are short term solutions only, and coming off them might be harder than you think...
Left side is better to sleep against stomach reflux. Organs position
I wasn't suggesting that your prescribing doctor is wrong, and ***this is not medical advice*** just suggestions from my experience. It's good to hear you are doing well on it.Sleep has never come easy to me, even as a kid. I was first introduced to imovane/zopiclone following an MVC and an extended hospital stay. I do take something of an issue with your claim that zopiclone is a benzo. While similar, zopiclone or any of the other "z-drugs" are not classified as benzodiazepines. Different MOA's, usage characteristics and withdrawal effects. I'm very familiar with zopiclones' side effects and take it responsibly (i.e. don't drive or do anything that would risk mine or other's safety), early on I did have some funny experiences with the "amnesia" that can occur but that's long since abated. As for side effects from the seroquel, only time I've ever experienced something I'd consider problematic is when first starting. Even 25mg will make me very dizzy & disconnected but that resolves after a couple of days.
I don't believe either doxylamine or promethazine are available OTC in Canada and I'm not a fan of first generation antihistamines as I don't like their long half-lives and hangover effect. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride is the go to active ingredient in most of our first gen OTCs and it doesn't sit well with me. Aside from the logy feeling it also makes me feel twitchy and aggravates my RLS. I've tried melatonin and while I get some benefits with sleep it also seems to fuck up my dreams. I have come off it and unlike benzos where there weren't any problems with imovane there were a few days of feeling jittery & miserable but one of the weird withdrawal effects was an almost phosphenes star flashes when I try to go to sleep. Don't like valerian root or hops as they make me burp something fierce. That said I have tried this which contains melatonin, passion flower, hops, L-theanine & 5-HTP but its markedly less effective than my imovane/seroquel combo.
My sleep hygiene is mostly good. Very dark & cool room, I've stopped falling asleep with the TV on but do listen to audio books (all titles I've heard dozens of times & read by someone who's voice I find soothing so its almost like meditation). I practice what's recently being pimped as the "US Military Sleep Method" and its very effective for me especially to get back to sleep. Only thing I do which probably isn't helpful is devices in the bedroom. I'll read GG, X or the news, play cribbage in bed but will be honest, that likely isn't something I'm going to forgo.
All that to say I appreciate your advice but I'm comfortable with my current regime, my doctor is comfortable with my current regime and I'm getting proper rest so likelihood of me changing things is zero.
I think you've discovered @Flatus Tube
This is goodMy sleep is dependent on how much I've done for the day. If I didn't have a day of work, I would sleep very well. However if I had a busy day; I would be getting up and walking around, doing other work and not sleeping. I do take 10mg of melatonin however it doesn't help much.
Will try it. Thank you. This is good

I sleep like count dracula, minus the coffin
