See I had paramedics doing it and I think they were flying by the seat of their pants so to speak. I hallucinate so badly that when they did a needle decompression procedure to treat my punctured lung I experienced it as a criminal stabbing me with a knife and when I started coming around I was accusing the paramedics of murdering me even though I was obviously alive and talking. It was bizarre to say the least.

Sure, K reliably produces what is generally described as "emergence reactions". These can manifest as things like hallucinations, vivid imagery, out of body sensation, and in some predisposed individuals panic state/psychosis

Yeah, one of my buddies paroled at my apartment and was huge on ketamine. As a long term side effect, he would have to piss literally every 15 minutes, and I'm not exaggerating. He said it was because of the K... Do you know what does it do to cause that?

The metabolites of ketamine we excrete via the kidneys in our urine irritate the sensitive walls of the bladder. Regular users of ketamine can get inflammation of their urinary tract which can become severe enough to cause permanent damage and increase cancer risk. Similar to a urine infection (UTI), inflammation of our urinary tract causes a reflex that makes us pass more urine (to try and ‘flush the tubes’).

The only time something like that would be allowed into my body is for medical purposes only. My body can't handle anything that acts as a downer. The fact you had hallucinations while on those after a serious accident is not a good thing. As recreational use, you, likely, won't be able to handle it, and it is VERY EASY to OD on fentanyl. As I said in another post about idiot mule dying from heroin filled condoms bursting in his stomach, fentanyl is a far more potent version of the poppy seed extract. I've lost coworkers and friends to fentanyl overdose.

I used to take it recreationally as a student quite a lot. But we only had small amounts, and always after having stimulants like MDMA. This minimised the risk of a ‘k-hole’ which, from what I have seen in other people, is horrible. In low doses, after a stimulant, it adds to the ‘loved up’ feel and slows down time perception making a decent night last longer.

My dealer was a PhD Chemistry student who got pure stuff via a veterinarian he knew. And sold it in perfectly evaporated crystals he prided himself on creating. So this helped ensure a good experience.

It’s very safe to use in humans for emergency purposes, including in babies. However, long term use can lead to various problems. I met one patient that had to have their bladder removed due to damage caused by ketamine addiction.

Never mix a dissociative anaesthetic like ketamine with opiates, alcohol or other hallucinogens. Unless you want to go mental or die.

As I am one week off 3.5 years sober, this is all in the past for me.

I've used it for both. Recreationally my experience was ok I guess. It felt like a cross between ecstacy and mushrooms, but I felt way more paranoia. I had it medically for six surgeries and I did not experience any hallucinations, just pure fucking awesomeness.

Some synthetic or semisynthetic opioids like Oxycodone and it derivatives cause me to disassociate to the point I cant communicate, wicked hallucinations (ants on the ceiling, water running from the walls, shit like that) and does very little to subdue the pain. So I'm left in a state where I can't tell anyone I'm in pain and am seeing pink elephants. Not so good while in hospital. Demerol/meperidine is similar just without the hallucinations, oh and I kind of lose the ability to speak English and instead talk in tongues.

What's the appeal to using it recreationally. I'm not being critical, I just had such a scary time with it, I can't wrap my mind around enjoying it.

I'm not sure why anyone would pay for it when there's other drugs cheaper and much more relaxing, but I attribute it to the *different* type of relaxing effect you get from small doses. As far as large doses or IV consumption which almost always causes a k-holes... I don't understand why anyone would do it by choice, but some people do. It's a out-of-body hallucination that goes in a direction of its own without the ability to steer the experience into a different direction like with other hallucinates. One k-holes in particular I experienced was especially uncomfortable... I became a microorganism in a micro verse that seemed to orbit in a hurricane like environment. The whole time I wanted it to go away but it felt like eternity even though it only actually lasted 20 minutes. When I came out of it I was incredibly nauseous and threw up in the bathroom. I will always recommend LSD over any other psychedelics unless you consider Ecstasy/Molly one, I absolutely love Ecstasy. The visuals are more in the area of colorful trails and beautiful sights especially in nature with trees and flowers around, like the Central Park Conservatory, or with wildlife like at the Shed Aquarium. The trip is much more euphoric and you have much more control of your trip. You can do it wherever you want, like at clubs or parks and not have to worry about causing a scene, losing your wallet and phone, or getting taken advantage of by people that see how our of it you are. Even PCP is more pleasant than Ketamine in my point of view. PCP has been bashed by exaggerations in movies and media, but is actually a really good time and a good drug to make love on. Just don't do it too often or get it from shady sources.
