Footage has emerged of a tragic accident in Amasya, in which a 20-year-old youth lost his life after being struck by the cabin of an amusement ride known as the "ranger" (kamikaze).
According to the Ihlas News Agency (IHA), the footage captures the moment the descending cabin struck and dragged the young amusement park worker.
According to the information obtained, on June 6th, the amusement ride known as the "ranger" (kamikaze) at a theme park in the Hızırpaşa neighborhood started moving after customers boarded. The young park employee, Burak Kırıkçı, left the operator booth and entered the ride's restricted operating area. The descending cabin then struck and dragged the young man.
Bystanders rushed to help the young man, who collapsed to the ground covered in blood. Taken to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition, Kırıkçı could not be saved despite medical efforts. The unfortunate young man's body was buried in his hometown in the Bafra district of Samsun. Following the incident, the amusement park was sealed, and both judicial and administrative investigations were launched. The amusement park operator, F.C., and the manager, H.N.E., were detained by police and subsequently arrested by the court.
In the footage of the tragic accident, the young man is seen leaving the operator booth, entering the restricted operating area.
