a while ago, i bought a Mercury Grand Marquis and immediately went to a gear shop to change the RAR from 2.73 to 3.73 (torque)...although that reduced my top speed, it greatly aided in initial pick-up. I used to love egging on other drivers to race me, and i almost always won (mechanical gear advantage)
