According to Zoir Yuldoshev, press secretary of the Road Safety Service, the accident occurred on July 16 at approximately 6:30 pm on Dormon Yuli Street in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.
Three traffic police officers riding patrol motorcycles collided at an intersection with an Onix vehicle that was leaving from Gazalkent Street.
As a result of the accident, one traffic police officer, who was driving a patrol motorcycle, died at the scene from his injuries. Other injured persons are receiving medical treatment; their number is being determined.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate also added that the information that the accident occurred while the motorcade was being escorted is not true.
An investigation into this incident is currently underway. Further information will be released later.
