A young woman suffered burns last Saturday (8) after the cell phone that was in the back pocket of her pants exploded while she was shopping in a store in Anápolis, Goiás. Images from the store's security cameras recorded the moment the fire started. The victim's husband, who was with her at the time of the incident, reported that they were looking at products when she felt heat in her pocket, followed by the start of the fire caused by the cell phone.
Despite the young woman's quick reaction, the cell phone exploded and quickly caught fire, causing 1st and 2nd degree burns, leading her to be hurriedly rescued by people who were at the scene.
