No, actually this case is from 2024 and some are already in prison but, the courts in Argentina are still hearing testimony as recent as last month because actually the little boy, Loan Danilo Pen̈a wasn't abducted as they initially reported and then trafficked but, rather he was accidentally run over & it was bullshit they covered an accident up as an abduction. It was afterward they decided to cover it up as an abduction/trafficking case. A female passenger w/the driver who ran him over, who went along with the cover up, worked for the local government there in Argentina (I don't know what type of role, I think a council woman possibly)... Anyway, this case got huge attention, even Pope Francis in Italy made a statement on behalf of him when everyone thought he was abducted but, possibly still alive, & some of his family members received millions in pesos raised through a gofundme type of organization. I'm not sure they were part of the coverup though.

I am aware of GFM. It's why I actually mentioned GFM (it the most famous one imo) but, I didn't remember if that was the specific one they used. Also, the relatives who did the fund raiser, I'm not sure if they were involved with his death & subsequent cover up at all.
That Alejandro Pueblas may have done a podcast about it specifically and went into what they spent the money on too. He seems to have a bunch of Peña case centric podcasts on his YT. Too bad my Spanish speaking days are far behind me & I just don't care to listen to anything unless it's in English. I don't even do subtitles anymore.

There are so many GFM type processors/sites these days but, I was surprised GFM hadn't been shut down after having been outted with how much their cut was w/the Canada (& UK) Truck Drivers Convoy fundraiser of 2022. I guess it wasn't as scandalous as it seemed in the end. It was enough some people said maybe they organized it just for that reason alone. I heard they had to return the funds to >80% of people.
