Have you ever had a waiter question a tip?

i think i might have a solution for you scotty.
buy your own restaurant then run it the way as you see fit. get your "rosies" (idk if you know if you get the reference) and there will be a more sterile environment as you stride for,and you wont have to worry about the "help" interacting with patrons prying into private lives, and handing out 150 dollar coupons because of an altercation. and there would be no training involved either. all the while putting more money into your pockets..
so whats the name of the place and what kind of food will you be serving?
Probably Macdonalds knowing this idiot

My wife and her sister inherited 2 McDonalds. I don’t eat there or recommend the food because it is not organic or made with healthy quality ingredients.
that i can agree with you on bro. its junk. all of it. every fast food joint. garbage. every single place even subway. i wont eat that either. cold cuts pre cut sitting in a container. fuck that. i want fresh cut meat!
forget dominoes, while were at it. and pizza hut too. maybe im spoiled with east coast,ny/nj/ct pizza.

If you have a 5 guys try that. It is my favorite hamburger and made with good ingredients.

I tip well.
If you can't afford to tip, eat fast food.
I love waitresses, they are the only women who are satisfied with just the tip.
I can afford to tip. I don’t value the waitress. It is a silly, worthless, unnecessary job.

At upscale restaurants. Wouldn’t it be nice to order your food from an app. Then wheel the order on a white linen table cloth to the table yourself. Totally eliminating the inefficient old fashioned waiter?
The restaurant could even lower menu prices not having to pay unnecessary employees. Your hands would be freshly washed as you place the order on your table. When the waiter touches your plates, and glasses you never know how clean their hands really are.

It is better and safer for the customers to have one less unskilled moron near your food unnecessarily. All the waiter does is bring your food to the table like a living conveyor belt. Why the fuck would you give them extra money for that?

I go to a restaurant for the food. I am not there to be asked private questions from the waiter like have you been here before, or are we celebrating anything special? None of your fucking business, and don’t speak unless you are spoken to, or announcing the evening specials.

Waiters seriously need to be trained on how to act correctly. They are nothing but modern-day servants. They should know their place.
No you simpleton, if you're going to an upscale restaurant the waitstaff are part of the experience. You claim to be wealthy yet you're focused on reducing an expensive meal by a few dollars. A waiter does significantly more than just bring your food. They can offer suggestions based on you telling them your likes/dislikes, they personalize the experience by knowing the modifications of regular customers, they provide human interaction (something you have no concept of).

But let me get this straight. In your perfect world of haute cuisine its the patron who should go get their food from the kitchen and "wheel" it back to the table? What if say the kitchen made an error, would the customer have to go back with miscooked item in hand and give the chef what for? With a course change do you have to go back for another pickup or do you get hors d'oeuvre, soup, appetizer, salad, main, palate cleanser and dessert all at once? And when you're finished do you wheel it all back to the dish pit for cleaning?

I doubt you've ever been to a proper French service restaurant, your idea of "fine dining" is probably TGIF on 2 for 1 appy night.

😳 inheritance McDonald's you lucky dog you 👎😑 ... 🖕🙄
scott probably gets a happy meal every week

Let me tell you the reality of owning one of these. It is like a pounding headache that gets worse everyday.

I have been to a proper French restaurant. I do not enjoy snails, Foie Gras, or crème brûlée. I have been to the Horned Dorset French restaurant many times you can look the restaurant up. French cuisine does not appeal to me.
I would much rather get the food myself, then have to speak to a brain dead waiter.

Thank you for proving my point of you being an uncultured bore. By intent I said "French service" not "French cuisine", anyone with a knowledge of fine dining would know the reference. French, or silver, service is a technique of how waitstaff serve at some high dining establishments not a style of cooking or type of food.

My wife and her sister inherited 2 McDonalds.
These are serious questions. When did they inherit the restaurants and have your wife & sister been to "Hamburger University" yet?

They grew up working at their father’s McDonald’s. It’s funny you mention Hamburger University. Most people don’t even know what that is.

I actually had to look up French Service, because I never heard of that before. I did not realize that serving method had a name. I always considered it to be rather intrusive.

yes we have a five guys. but thats what i consider a "greasy spoon" kind of place.
If you know of a better hamburger place,, then do tell.

my own bbq
but not knocking 5 guys. there was a diner when i was younger that made the best burgers and chili.its no longer there. i think its a bank now. but greasy spoon is an old term for that. like for a diner. same thing.

Every city or town is going to have a local restaurant or diner that will kick any 5 Guys or other chain restaurant's ass.

But aside from that I agree with @mrln, I can make a burger I'll enjoy more than any restaurant. If I take the time I'll grind my own meat (its not difficult, just an attachment on the KitchenAid mixer) using trimmed short ribs and add in some bacon to up the fat content, egg yoke and only a bit of salt & pepper.
