A 57-year-old retired captain of the Buenos Aires Police was killed in the city of Gregorio de Laferrere, in Buenos Aires province.

Juan A.A. had dropped off his sister-in-law at her house following a party when he was surprised by two criminals on a motorcycle. The motorcycle passenger got off the vehicle and shot at Juan multiple times, with at least one shot hitting his abdomen.

Reportedly, the first officer on scene was Juan's son, who was patrolling the area when the alert was issued.
